totally forgot about Thanksgiving today; the only hol i ever could stand. now i’m hungry. big thanks, dudes. not.
BTW, being a detail-oriented anal-type, when i wrote only pols over four long years, those i called AmeriKKKans were mostly rethugs, not regular ppl.
are we all AmeriKKKans to youse? *weeps bitter tears*

Oh well you know. I’m thinking of it as a pretty generic term of endearment/abuse. Don’t let it make you think we’re not trying to build a mutually-affirming CITADEL OF HUGS here.

i wasn’t really pissed. now i think of em all as Amerikkkans apart from lucky me who left.

is there a reason for this, NeuroAster? i mean, AFAIK, you Canadian dudes didn’t give disease-infested blankets and shit to the Native AMericans present on the scene.
i just looove the fact we in the States commemorate (sp? i don’t care) wiping out the thousands of Native Americans as we did and then, failing to teach future gens the truth about it.
wait–USA! USA! we can do no wrong! oopsy, dunno where that shit came from. ignore it, fankoo.
moving right along, when i taught in NYC, i got into BIG trouble every thanksgiving. i minced (SOZ!) my words but made it crystal clear this was no hol about which to celebrate.
then again and thankfully so, Native Americans are taking US white gambling folk for the proverbial ride, taking US for all we have when at their casinos. i actually hope we, i mean ‘they’ bankrupt the gamblingest of dummies but then again, i’m a hateful, vengeful sorta humanbean, one who’s always been on the so-called ‘little guy’s side’.

Canada has an earlier harvest season than the U.S.
Crops are usually all harvested by mid October therefore the celebration of Thanksgiving is during that month
